Happy Mother's Day!
In honor of today,
and in celebration of
my Girlie's birthday this weekend,
(and - to be honest -
mostly in obedience to the Lord)
what we have here is our very first attempt
at two things:
A Vlog Post and Poetry
So... without further ado...

Hope I can comment on my phone - that was beautiful and amazing! Oh my friend, what a gift you've shared. There is so much life and encouragement and breathtaking, aching truth in your words. I just love this.
ReplyDeleteWhat a week! I am just now sitting down to comments and this post I was half tempted to just not revisit! ;) Thank you so much for your consistent support and encouragement... for always standing with me, praying for me, and cheering me on! It does not go unnoticed and I am so grateful! Love you so!
DeleteThis poem is beautiful! It is so inspirational and encouraging. Thank you for sharing this with us. I hope that you have a lovely Mother's day, and that your daughter had a wonderful birthday.
ReplyDeleteJo Rose - thank you so much! Of course, because - well, you know how we can be... I wanted it not so amatuerish on all aspects but hey - that is the truth of what and where I am! I did have a great Mother's Day (/daughters birthday) weekend! I pray you did as well!
DeleteI thought it was great! I didn't think it was amateurish at all. :-) I did have a very good Mother's day. I hope you are having a blessed week.
Delete<3 Girl, you have a gift. Thank you for sharing that. Thank you for saying "yes", even if you were scared.
ReplyDeleteI pray you had a wonderful Mother's Day. ((hugs))
I love your face! I mean - you know, I love all of you! But seeing your little face here just always makes me smile! We're learning, yes? To say yes even if we are scared? It's just so much better than that knee-jerk no of yesteryear! Love you bunches!
DeleteNice job, Karri!
ReplyDeleteDori, my friend inrl! What a nice surprise to see you here! Thanks so much for stopping by! We will get through this crazy week and make a date for a walk or coffee or both! Love you!
DeleteI love that jumped out in faith with your beautiful poetry, your voice. I too wrote poetry at a young age and even had a couple published. I've often thought of bringing them out on my blog ... :)
ReplyDeleteOne of my poems - my first - was to my dad and after his suicide I received his wallet to keep. I found that poem. He carried it with him. That meant so much to me.
Love that you are displaying even more of your heart in a meaningful poem. You are inspiring me.
Kindred, my friend! That is all that can be said! Such a gift to find how precious your words were to your Dad! Pull out some of that poetry - or better yet, write some new pieces! (All the cool kids are doing it!) ;)
DeleteLove this! You should definitely do more vlogging. :)
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh when this came up in my feed yesterday for fb memories... I was so uncomfortable doing it the one time, I sort of dismissed the idea! I did, however, embrace sharing audio bits on SoundCloud of my poetry! (That felt safer!) LOL! Thanks so much for stopping by! (And I will think about it! I am praying about starting a Podcast for our church right now... but a vlog post now and then could be fun!)
