In Honor of Thanksgiving... and Gilmore Girls: a Giveaway for your Holiday Weekend!

I know... I'm in a bit of denial.

Can you even believe that Thanksgiving is tomorrow? TOMORROW, y'all?

Since I am hosting, I should be all over this.

While I have no idea where all my cloth napkins are or what time I need to start cooking the side dishes, I DID make some super cute little handmade Placecards for my table while watching binging Gilmore Girls yesterday so... I pretty much won Tuesday!

Still... we all know that as soon as the tryptophan wears off, the holidays come at us in a chaotic, hectic, glittery frenzy and before we know it we will be staring a brand new year right in the face wondering where our time went, reflecting on how things were simpler back when we were kids, and how life is going by so quickly 'nowadays'... Yes - because apparently we talk like we are OLD now, too!

In honor or Thanksgiving... and Gilmore Girls... and the holidays fast approaching, I have for you today a smorgasboard of Giveaway goodness.
(See? ...like we are OLD.)

It's no secret around here that I am an honorary Gilmore Girl what with my love of CoffeeCoffeeCoffee and all my words and fast talking/typing and adoration of small town quaintness. Plus there is the fact that my own girlie is my Rory, and I, her Lorelai... (only... you know, we know Jesus and we are not quite as dysfunctional!)

All of that to say two things...
1. THE NEW EPISODES ARE STREAMING ON FRIDAY!  Friday, people!

2. When I saw Lisa-Jo Baker talk about how Mary Carver has penned a Gilmore Girls inspired Devotional - I KNEW I HAD TO HAVE IT!

And have it, I did! I devoured it and you know what? I LOVED 'fast talk and faith - a 22-day devotional inspired by Gilmore Girls'

I loved it because, well -- Hello? Gilmore Girls! But also because tying my favorite show in to my faith and bringing it home with humor but also with truth that convicts and encourages... well - who better to do this than
Mary?

Seriously, you guys! She nailed it!

Just the right amount of humor:truth ratio and wouldn't you know it, God showed up and spoke through her --and through the fine people of Stars Hollow-- directly to some very real circumstances I was walking through each day! (God's so smart!)

Mary is pretty smart, too! See?

Mary is also generous, sweet readers!

She has offered to gift a copy of her book to one lucky reader here!  It is an eBook, so you can read it on your Kindle, or your tablet, laptop, phone, or PC.

Once she offered this, I realized I had been stashing a pretty good little pile for a giveaway myself and we normally do one right around now so today is your lucky day, my friend!

Or, you know... it could be! It COULD be your lucky day! (If you live in the US, that is. Sorry to my Int'l readers!)

I have gathered a gift here and a gift there from some of my favorite places like Dayspring, MercyHouse, Darn Good Yarn

Included in this prize package is: The above mentioned awesome Gilmore Girls inspired eBook devotional, of course... as well as a blank mini-journal and a Key bracelet from Dayspring, a necklace from Mercy House, a silk Tote from Darn Good Yarn, a mini-printable, a Dragonfly Inn acrylic coaster, and a few handmade cards from me for the holidays! (3 Thank You's that are more Fall inspired... and 3 Christmas cards, and a couple of Gilmore Girls inspired cards, too!)

You can enter to win here:

We will pick a winner after the holiday weekend! Until then, to tide you over, there will be the NEW EPISODES on Netflix on Friday... and there is also this:

A fun Gilmore Girls playlist on Spotify... and it --well, it's perfect! #yourewelcome (and thank you, Lisa-Jo Baker for sharing it with me and to Lisa Santucci Schvach for creating it!)

Happy Thanksgiving to each of you!
I know it sounds so super cheesy, but I honestly do count you all among my blessings!

See you on the other side (of --you know... the new episodes and Thanksgiving!) where we will FINALLY know what the final four words are - and who the lucky winner is!

    1. You lost me at 'WAY too much.' LOL!

I fully intend to stock up on Gilmore approved snacks too... for our viewing pleasure --not so much for our waistbands!

  2. I'm so excited. My girls and I are watching it on Saturday, because we're having Thanksgiving on Friday.

I'm thankful for my oldest. She is a recent addition to our lives, and while we've had our share of struggles, I feel as though we have all benefitted by her living with us.

As far as the last four words, I didn't even know this was a thing until this past week, so I really don't have any clue.

  3. You're on an excitement high here, Karrilee! I love the sound of the items featured on the giveaway, but not the fact I don't live in the USA. Sigh... I'm sure they will bless someone big time, just like your sweet, generous heart blesses your readers and family. Have a Happy Thanksgiving! xo

And my husband who loves me more than I could ever imagine being loved by another person. And my God, who creates this all for me, just because He loves me. 7. A few weeks ago when I turned on this bizarre sounding show I never expected to watch more than half an episode.
Well, just a few weeks later and I'm almost done with season 6, I've had numerous dreams that I am a character on the show and my 2yo is telling me everyone's names and the plot lines! Haha

Well I'm super thankful for this little life inside me and that I have Finally been able to move back home - America! :) happy thanksgiving :*
