Praying the Psalms - DAY ELEVEN of 31 Days of Life Happens... and so We Pray!

Happy Tuesday, friends!

As previously discussed, we are spending Tuesdays together this month, praying the Psalms!

I hope you were able to pray with me last week when we prayed through Psalm 23 together!

Today, we are praying through Psalm 128!

Let's go:
The Blessings of the Lord (A song of the stairway)
"How joyous are those who love the Lord and bow low before God, Ready to obey Him! Your reward will be prosperity, happiness, and well-being. Your wife will bless your heart and home. Your children will bring you joy as they gather around your table.

Yes, this is God's generous reward for those who love him. May the Lord bless you out of his Zion-glory! May you see the prosperity of Jerusalem throughout your lifetime. And may you be surrounded by your grandchildren. Happiness to you! And happiness to Israel!"

Come on!

Now, let's actually pray through this together...

Jesus,

We thank You that You sing over us with joy.
We thank You that the Blessings of the Lord pour over us!

We come to you and are filled with joy... for we love Your Presence, Lord and we bow before You.  Whatever You say, Father God... we will do. Wherever You go, we will follow!

For we know that You reward us with prosperity --not a dollar kind of advancement, but security in knowing that You cause us to flourish in all we put our hands to do when we partner with You!  You give us such favor and success because we are Your children... kids of the Kingdom. But that's not all! As Kingdom Kids, You also bless us with a happiness and sense of well-being that shines from the inside out!

Lord we thank you that you bless our marriages... bind our hearts together and shower our homes with love.  You cause our children to bring us joy as they gather around our table.

God, You are so generous to those who love and adore You! Who abide in You. May that be us, Lord, and may it be said of us that we shine with the Glory of the Lord as Your favor rests upon us!

Our families and cities will be blessed because we dwell in them as You dwell in us.

You cause our future generations to rise up and call us blessed, as we lead them to know and to love You!

We thank You, Lord... for family and how you have a plan for each one... for how You have called us each by name and for how You know us and love us!

Help us to believe that... to feel it and know it to be true!
Help us to share it... to be carriers of Your Presence and releasers of Your Kingdom!

In Jesus' Name!
Amen!

Amen?

  1. Just beautiful, Karrilee - I love your prayers. I really focused on that point of praise for His plans for us and for our families - that our homes and cities will be blessed because WE dwell in them and He in us. In this political climate, it's so good to know that God is ever and always on His throne and His plans are good.

  2. I'm getting the rhythm now. Tuesday's Psalms, right? And, why is rhythm always a hard word for me to spell?

    1. LOL! I know? I have to stop and go slower every time I type it out! And yes... you have picked up the pattern (which - by the way - is much easier to type!) ;)

  3. Beautiful. I am going through Psalms right now, writing down verses key to me and then praying them back to the Lord. I love that you are guiding others
